What is World TeamTennis?
WTT is co-ed teams competing in a format that consists of 6 no-ad sets. One set each of men’s and women’s doubles followed by men’s and women’s singles, ending with 2 sets of mixed doubles.

What is a WTT team?
A team must have three men and three women, as a minimum (10 players maximum). This allows for periods of rest and missing matches.

Who can play?
Adults (18 & over) may sign up as a team or as an individual.

When do leagues start?
Play begins July 17, 2010. Matches usually begins on Saturday mornings at 9:30am or Sunday mornings. We will let you know your schedule. If conflicts arise with other leagues than matches can be rescheduled between captains when mutually agreeable. If no mutually agreeable time is reached, the League Director and assistants will make a scheduled time.

Sign-Up Deadline: June 25, 2010
Team deadline is June 19, 2010, but new players can be added to a team at any time, prior to their first match.

What Divisions (levels of play) are offered?
3.0/under, 3.5/under, 4.0/under, 4.5/under, Senior 3.5, Senior 4.0 and Open.

Determining Team Rating
The average NTRP rating of the top two men and top two women players on your team determines the team rating.

       Example:
  Joe- 4.5 Mary- 3.5
  Tom- 4.5 Jill-3.5
  Bill- 4.0 Gail- 3.5
  Joe- 4.5 Mary- 3.5
  Jim- 3.5 Joan- 3.0

The best two men and two women are: 4.5 + 4.5 + 3.5 + 3.5 = 16. 16 divided by 4 equals 4.0.

This team could register for the 4.0 division or a higher division. A team consists of a minimum of two men and two women. Although the limit to the number of team members is ten, the suggested number of players is three men and three women. Click here to determine your NTRP level.

Where do we play?
Matches will be played at the Cliff Farrar Tennis Center in Phenix City, AL. Go across the bridge on Hwy 80 (JR Allen Pkwy) and take Summerville Rd exit. Take a left then a left at the second light. The courts are on the 2nd left before the baseball fields and across the park.
Or....Willow Creek Tennis Courts

Can I register as an individual/substitute/team?
You can register as an individual (we will make every effort to find an existing team for you to join in any given season), as part of a partial team ( we will assign other players to complete your team), or a full team.

Note to substitute players:
Some teams may have over 10 people. But, when participating in the nationals, only 10 can go. A substitute may go to the nationals as one of the 10's and they have to play in at least two matches.

Why register via the Internet?
You are not an official league participant until you have registered online. When you register via the Internet site you will be e-mailed league information during the season and your WTT Member Benefits (WTT Point of Contact Newsletter, discounts on hotel, rental cars, 2 for 1 tickets, plus more).

What is the cost?
League fees are $30.00 per person. There are no other fees for the league. This one time fee covers; membership, court fees, and ball. AND Aflac will pay for your team to go to Nationals in FL and/or CA.

League winners qualify for a National Qualifier?
Winning teams advance to the WTT National Qualifiers. Your team is eligible to participate in a NQ for up to one year from the end date of your league. For every four (4) teams in any official World TeamTennis (WTT) local league division, one (1) team will be eligible to participate in a NQ. Click here for more details.
