MAC-Midlothian Athletic Club (TOURNAMENT)
2021 MAC June Tournament

What is World TeamTennis?
WTT is co-ed teams competing in a format that consists of 6 no-ad sets. One set each of men's and women's doubles followed by men's and women's singles, ending with 2 sets of mixed doubles. Total games won from all sets determines the winner. Substitutions and coaching are allowed during the match.
What is a WTT team?
A team must have two men and two women, as a minimum. (10 players maximum). This allows for subbing in, periods of rest and missing matches. We also provide a list of players looking for a team in case you need more to fill your roster.
Who can play?
Adults (18 & over) may sign up as a team or as an individual. I can not guarantee individual players get placed on a team. We will also try to combine the individual players into a team.
When do leagues start?
June 4-5 event.

Tentative times:
Friday, June 4: 6 pm and 8 pm
Saturday, June 5: 3:30, 5:30, 6:30 pm, 7:30 pm, 8 pm(if nec)
We will have a social Saturday night, weather permitting.
Sign-Up Deadline: June 1, 2021
Team registration will close June 1, 2021 at midnight. Schedules posted by June 3 if not sooner. Plan to begin Friday night for all teams. Captains are responsible to communicate the schedule to their players. Schedules will be published online for everyone to check.
What Divisions (levels of play) are offered?
The levels of play being offered are 3.0, 3.5 4.0.
Minimum and maximum of 4 teams needed at each level for the division to run. Some levels may be able to have more than 4 teams. LC will confirm all teams via email and online.
Self rated players will need to be confirmed by the league coordinator. No exceptions. They will not be permitted to play until they schedule a hitting evaluation at no cost.
Determining Team Rating
The average NTRP rating of the top two men and top two women players on your team determines the team rating.
  Joe- 4.5 Mary- 3.5
  Tom- 4.5 Jill-3.5
  Bill- 4.0 Gail- 3.5
  Joe- 4.5 Mary- 3.5
  Jim- 3.5 Joan- 3.0
The best two men and two women are: 4.5 + 4.5 + 3.5 + 3.5 = 16. 16 divided by 4 equals 4.0.
This team could register for the 4.0 division or a higher division. A team consists of a minimum of two men and two women. Although the limit to the number of team members is ten, the suggested number of players is three men and three women. Click here to determine your NTRP level.
